This print shows a honey-bee foraging around in the tangled clover.
It is an original reduction linocut print, using just one block of lino and a process of carving away the lino between each layer of colour to produce the final image.
These linocut prints are handmade from start to finish - hand carved, inked and handprinted, and as such they will have small variations between prints - making each print into a unique artwork.

Created specifically for the ‘Grubs Up Project’ Art Exhibition (Inspired by Gallery, Danby 2026). The North York Moors National Park Authority Grubs Up! Project aims to restore and connect vital wildlife sites surrounding the A170, one of North Yorkshire’s more scenic roads which runs along the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park.
Working with farmers, landowners and local communities the project helps to protect and restore habitats for invertebrates, boosting biodiversity and creating pollination corridors to ensure insects can move between these sites.
