This linocut print shows a view of Roseberry Topping on the northern edge of the North York Moors. Visible for miles around, its crooked conical shape have made it a Teesside landmark which some locals ironically call the ‘Yorkshire Matterhorn’
It is an original reduction linocut print, using just one block of lino and a process of carving between each layer of colour to produce the final image. These linocut prints are handmade from start to finish - hand carved, inked and handprinted, and as such they will have small variations between them - making each one into a unique artwork.
