Me in the studio.

Susan is a UK-based printmaker, working mainly through the medium of linocut. She is interested in the process of translating her sketches/images into linocut prints – drawing inspiration from the natural world around her.

Born and raised in the North-East of England, after studying Archaeology, Information Technology and French, she spent nearly 20 years in digital communications/education and international data and lived for 10 years in Manchester. Now married with two children and a clingy spaniel, she has returned to her home town, Saltburn and rediscovered her love of art, specifically printmaking.

She bases work on her own sketches and photos and produces limited edition prints with relatively short runs from a home studio in Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

- 2019: Oct - Painted/printed a giant snowman for Middlesbrough Council's public art trail is presented by Wild in Art in association with Penguin Random House UK. Walking with the Snowman.
- 2019: Delighted that my linocut print 'Sky Waves' is being used on the front cover of the 2019/2020 Welcome to Saltburn brochure. Distributed widely across the region, it's a free guide to eating, drinking, shopping and events in Saltburn.
